Re:  Part 1 Application regarding imbalance payments to Fibernetics for the termination of traffic – Request for interim relief

On 21 October 2014, Bell Aliant Regional Communications Inc. and Bell Canada (collectively, the Bell companies) filed an application regarding the Commission’s local imbalance compensation regime.

Among other things, the Bell companies requested that the Commission designate Fibernetics Corporation’s (Fibernetics) tariff for compensation for traffic termination regarding imbalance payments as interim, at least as applied to the Bell companies, and suspend on an interim basis the payment of any imbalance charges by the Bell companies to Fibernetics.

Fibernetics may file by November 10th, 2014, comments on both aspects of the Bell companies’ request for interim relief, specifically addressing the criteria that the Bell companies stated that the Commission requires to be met, and serving a copy on the Bell companies. The Bell companies may file reply comments by November 17th, 2014, serving a copy on Fibernetics.

The deadlines for filing an answer and a reply to the Part 1 application with respect to the Bell companies’ request for final relief remain the same as set out in Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission Rules of Practice and Procedure.

Yours sincerely,
