Re: Xplornet Communications Inc. (Xplornet)/ Alianza, Inc. - Message Relay Service Agreement and Xplornet / Alianza, Inc. -  Interconnection Agreement for the Provision of 9-1-1 Service to a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier

Dear Sir:

On 21 August 2014, Xplornet Communications Inc. (Xplornet) filed a Message Relay Service Agreement and a 9-1-1 service agreement along with its Tariff Notice 1, in which the company proposed to introduce its Type IV competitive local exchange carrier Access Services Tariff.

Section 29 of the Telecommunications Act requires telecommunications carriers that enter into certain inter-carrier agreements to file the agreements and obtain the Commission's prior approval.

Commission staff notes that the above-mentioned agreements are not inter-carrier agreements since Alianza Inc. is not a registered Canadian carrier. However, these agreements were inadvertently filed as agreement applications.

Since these agreements do not require the Commission’s approval, these files are closed.

Sincerely,

Original signed by
