RE:  Northwestel Inc. Tariff Notices 904, 904A, and 904B

Dear Sir:

On 4 February 2014, the Commission received an application by Northwestel Inc. (Northwestel) under Tariff Notice 904, which was subsequently amended by Tariff Notice 904A, dated 2 April 2014, and Tariff Notice 904B, dated 17 October 2014. Northwestel proposed to introduce General Tariff item 1735, Terrestrial ADSL and Cable Internet services, and item 1736, Terrestrial Enterprise Internet Services.

By letter dated 10 October 2014, Commission staff issued a request for information (RFI) to Northwestel and requested a response by 30 October 2014.

By letter dated 29 October 2014, Northwestel stated that its staff is working diligently to respond to the questions in the RFI, but that due to the importance of the questions and impact on Internet consumers and Northwestel, it required additional time to formulate its responses. It therefore requested an extension to 7 November 2014.

In the circumstances, Commission staff considers that Northwestel’s request for an extension to 7 November 2014 is acceptable.

Commission staff expects Northwestel to meet the revised deadline. Staff also expects that the company’s reply will take into consideration the proposed revisions submitted in Tariff Notice 904B.

Sincerely,
