RE: Tariff Notice 63 – Directory Listings
Dear Sir:
On 21 October 2014, the Commission received an application from DMTS, under Tariff Notice 63 (TN 63), in which the company proposed to revise its Directory Listings tariff to reflect the Commission’s forbearance determinations regarding directory assistance in Telecom Decision 2014-213. The company submitted that its application was a Group A retail tariff filing as described inApproval processes for tariff applications and intercarrier agreements, Telecom Information Bulletin CRTC 2010-455, 5 July 2010, as amended from time to time, (Information Bulletin 2010-455), because it pertained to changes to incorporate forborne services consistent with the Commission's forbearance decision.
Commission staff considers that the application does not meet the definition of a Group A retail tariff filing as described in Information Bulletin 2010-455. While Group A applications may be filed for updates to tariff pages to incorporate forborne exchanges or routes, consistent with Commission forbearance decisions, DMTS is proposing to modify the tariffs related to its directory assistance services in response to a forbearance decision.
For efficiency, the Commission will process this application as a Group B retail tariff filing rather than close the file and require the company to refile it as a new application. This application, along with any associated subsequent revisions, will not be approved on an interim basis on the 15th calendar day following receipt. However, the Commission intends to dispose of this application, along with any associated subsequent revisions, within 45 business days of receipt of the filing.
Commission staff also notes that according to Information Bulletin 2010-455, Group B applications must be filed with the Commission at least 15 calendar days before the proposed effective day. As a result, the application will be processed as though the proposed effective date were 15 calendar days from the date of the application.
