RE: Tariff Notice 933 and 473 – Support Structure Service

Dear Sir:

On 25 August 2014, the Commission received an application from Bell Aliant, Bell Canada and Télébec requesting approval for proposed revisions to their Support Structure tariffs, namely the National Services Tariff - Item 901 and Télébec General Tariff - Chapter 10.3.

The Commission requires clarification on some issues and therefore requests that the above parties respond to the attached interrogatories by 12 September 2014, serving a copy on all other parties.

Parties to the proceeding may comment on the responses to these interrogatories by 19 September 2014, serving a copy on all other parties. Bell Aliant, Bell Canada and Télébec may reply to those comments by 26 September 2014, serving a copy on all parties.

Where a document is to be filed or served by a specific date, the document must be actually received, not merely sent by that date.

Copies of the responses should be sent to marc.pilon@crtc.gc.ca

Sincerely,

Refer to the proposed Bell Canada and Bell Aliant National Services Tariff - Item 901 and Télébec General Tariff - Chapter 10.3.

  1. Refer to Item 901.5 section (o) and item 10.3.5 – where it is written that a Licensee is required to notify the Company within thirty (30) calendar days of the placement of strand equipment or a Subscriber Drop Wire on a Service Pole.
    1. Explain with supporting rationale why a Licensee must notify the company within 30 days of placements of additional strand equipment.
    2. Confirm that there is no penalty or charge (now or in the future) that will be imposed on the Licensee for failing to notify the company of placement of additional strand equipment.
