RE:  Tariff Notice 474– Support Structure Service

Dear Sir:

On 21 March 2014, the Commission received an application by TELUS Communication Company (TCC) requesting approval for proposed revisions to its General Tariff for Item 404-Support Structure Service.

Commission staff requests that TCC respond to the attached interrogatories by 5 September 2014, serving a copy on all parties.

Parties to the proceeding may comment on the responses to these interrogatories by 12 September 2014, serving a copy on all other parties. TCC may reply to those comments by 19 September 2014, serving a copy on all other parties.

Where a document is to be filed or served by a specific date, the document must be actually received, not merely sent, by that date.

Copies of the document should also be sent to nat.natra@crtc.gc

TELUS Interrogatories

Refer to the Proposed Tariff Page (General Tariff CRTC 21461) provided on 21 March 2014

  1. Further refer to Item 404.3 - Access Approval Requirements paragraph 15 where the company states the “Where notification of the placement of Subscriber Drop Wire(s) or Strand Equipment is required, such notification must be within 30 calendar days of such placement”.
    1. Explain with supporting rationale why a Licensee must notify the company within 30 days of placements of additional Strand equipment.
    2. Confirm that there is no penalty or any charge (now or in the future) that will be imposed on the Licensee for failing to notify the company of placement of additional Strand equipment.
