Re: Follow-up to Telecom Decision CRTC 2014-4 - Canadian Network Operators
Consortium Inc. request for extension

Dear Sir:

The Commission received a request from Canadian Network Operators Consortium Inc. (CNOC), in which CNOC requested an extension to the current due date of 20 May 2014 for the filing of interventions with respect to the cost studies filed by Bell Aliant, MTS and SaskTel pursuant to Telecom Decision 2014-4[1]. CNOC submitted that it had been under the impression that the interventions were not due until 30 May 2014 in accordance with the normal process applicable under the CRTC Rules of Practice and Procedure for tariff approvals, rather than 20 May 2014 pursuant to the Commission staff letter dated 4 April 2014.

In the circumstances, Commission staff considers that CNOC’s request is reasonable. Commission staff further considers that the same extension should be granted to all other parties.

Accordingly, Commission staff considers it appropriate that the remaining process dates be revised as follows:

Sincerely,
