RE: Tariff Notice 368 – Request for additional extension for responses to request for information

Dear Sir:

On 15 November 2013, the Commission received an application by NorthernTel, Limited Partnership (NorthernTel), under Tariff Notice 368, in which the company proposed revisions to its General Tariff to reflect the expiry of a Commission-approved exogenous adjustment for the recovery of non-recurring local competition and local number portability costs. The application was approved on an interim basis on 3 December 2013. On 5 December 2013, the Commission received a letter from NorthernTel that provided details of the company’s plans to credit and rebate customers.

On 19 March 2014, Commission staff requested additional information from NorthernTel regarding its proposal to credit and rebate customers. The Commission requested that the company provide its response by 2 April 2014.

On 2 April 2014, the Commission granted a request by NorthernTel for an extension of 14 days for the company to submit its response. On 15 April 2014, the company requested a second extension of 14 days to submit its response. It stated that given its current workload and the limited availability of staff, it would be unable to provide its responses to the request for information by 16 April 2014.

Commission staff considers that NorthernTel’s request is reasonable. Accordingly, NorthernTel is to file its response with the Commission no later than 2 May 2014.
Sincerely,
