RE: Videotron G.P. – Tariff Notices 46 and 46A – Request for extension

Dear Sir,

On 10 April 2014, the Commission received a letter from Quebecor Media Inc. (Quebecor Media), on behalf of its affiliate Videotron, requesting an extension to file its response to the intervention filed by the Canadian Network Operators Consortium Inc. (CNOC) received on 3 April 2014. Quebecor Media requested an extension to 12 May 2014.

Quebecor Media stated that key members of Videotron’s Engineering, Marketing and Finance services are currently tied up with the obligation to respond to an unprecedented number of requests for information received in the proceeding initiated by Telecom Notice of Consultation 2013-551 and with the preparation of its comments in the proceeding initiated by Telecom Notice of Consultation 2014-76. Quebecor Media indicated that it did not have the resources available to submit a response to CNOC’s intervention within the normal timeframe.

In light of the arguments presented by Quebecor Media, Commission staff considers the request for an extension to be reasonable. Quebecor Media can thus file its response by 12 May 2014.

Sincerely,
