Re: Telecom Decision 2013-659 - Request for extension to review and vary period
Dear Madam/Sir:
The Commission is in receipt of a letter dated 10 March 2014 from Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership and Bell Canada (the Bell companies) requesting an extension to the deadline to file an application to review and vary Telecom Decision CRTC 2013-659, Review of outstanding wholesale high-speed access service issues related to interface rates, optional upstream speed rates and modem certification requirements (Decision 2013-659). The Bell companies submitted that they require an extension of the deadline to 31 March 2014 due to the unavailability of key staff.
Commission staff notes that the Bell companies have conferred with the Canadian Network Operators Consortium (CNOC) on this issue and, according to the Bell companies, CNOC supports the request for an extension.
In the circumstances, Commission staff considers the request reasonable. Accordingly, the date for filing an application to review and vary Decision 2013-659 is modified to 31 March 2014.
