RE: Tariff Notice 368 – Expiry of exogenous adjustment

Dear Sir:

On 15 November 2013, the Commission received an application by NorthernTel, Limited Partnership (NorthernTel), under Tariff Notice 368 (TN 368), in which the company proposed revisions to its General Tariff Section N100 and Section N190 to reflect the expiry of a Commission-approved exogenous adjustment for the recovery of NorthernTel’s non-recurring (start-up) local competition and local number portability (LNP) costs over a period of five years.

Commission staff notes that the Commission approved the application on an interim basis as of 3 December 2013. However, due to an administrative error, the Commission’s website indicated instead that TN 368 was “forborne from approval.” As a result, Commission staff considers that it would be appropriate to extend the comment period for this application to 15 January 2014, to allow parties additional time to comment on the company’s application, including NorthernTel’s proposed credit and rebate plan. NorthernTel may provide reply comments by 17 January 2014.

Sincerely,
