Dear Ms. Auer:
This letter is in response to your request to submit additional evidence by 30 July 2014 in the Let’s Talk TV proceeding initiated by Broadcasting Notice of Consultation CRTC 2014-190.
The Commission launched a conversation with Canadians about the future of television in October 2013, giving interveners over seven months to prepare their evidence and positions on the issues raised during this process. The Commission also notes that it had set the deadline for interventions to 25 June 2014, giving interveners 60 days to file interventions rather than the normal 35 days. In addition, please note that in Notice of Consultation 2014-190-2 issued on 23 June 2014, the Commission has further extended the deadline for interventions to 27 June 2014.
In light of the above, the Commission denies your request.
Sincerely,
John Traversy
Secretary General
