Re: Application number 2014-0277-6
This is in reference to your application (2014-0277-6), acting as the Canadian sponsor, to add the non-Canadian programming service, Punjab TV, to the List of non-Canadian programming services authorized for distribution in Canada.
In the program description provided with your application, descriptions have been provided for only a few programs reflected on the program schedule. Also, we note that the number “6” is reflected next to the program “Punjab Mela”; category 6 being the “sports” genre. Given the description provided, it would appear that this is not the appropriate category/genre for this program.
In accordance with the Commission’s filing requirements to be met by sponsors requesting the addition of such services, as stated in Broadcasting Public Notice CRTC 2004-96, please provide the program description for each program reflected on the program schedule submitted with your application. Also, specify the appropriate category (genre) of each program next to each program name.
Soundview Entertainment Inc. is required to provide the information requested above, which will be added to the public record, by no later than 16 April 2014.
The Commission requires that you submit your documents electronically using the secured service “My CRTC Account” (Partner Log In or GCKey) and fill in the “Broadcasting and Telecom Cover page” located on this web page. On this web page, you will also find a link to information on the submission of applications to the Commission “Submitting applications and other documents to the CRTC using My CRTC Account.”
