Part 1 application 2013-1743-8 – Technical amendment – rebroadcaster CKYQ-FM-1 Victoriaville, Quebec

Mr. Bellerose,

The following is in response to the above-mentioned application regarding the relocation of the antenna and the low-power transmitter CKYQ-FM-1 Victoriaville, a rebroadcaster of the radio station CKYQ-FM Plessisville, Québec.

Request for an accelerated process

In a letter dated 21 January 2014, you request that the Commission make an exception to its Rules of procedures in order to treat your application via an accelerated process, in order to avoid any interruption to the programming of CKCQ-FM in Victoriaville.
Staff notes that the application, which involves the relocation of the antenna of the low-power retransmitter CKYQ-FM-1 Victoriaville 800 meters away from the actual site, was submitted by the licensee due to unexpected circumstances.

After having examined your request, Commission staff is of the view that a shorterned intervention period is justified given the circumstances. Therefore, the new deadline for the submission of interventions is 29 January 2014, and you will have one day to submit your reply, if necessary. Staff will ensure that the Commission’s decision will be made and published in the best delays.

A copy of this letter will be added to the record associated with your application to be made available for public examination.

Yours truly,
