Elliott Kerr, on behalf of a corporation to be incorporated
Mississauga, Ontario
Application 2014-0415-2
CKNT Mississauga – Technical changes
- The Commission approves the application by Elliott Kerr, on behalf of a corporation to be incorporated, to change the authorized contours of the English-language commercial AM radio programming undertaking CKNT Mississauga by decreasing the daytime transmitter power from 2,000 to 700 watts, by decreasing the night-time transmitter power from 180 to 104 watts, and by relocating the transmitter. The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with this application.
- The licensee stated that these changes will improve coverage and delivery in the Mississauga area and will allow CKNT to begin operations within the authorized period for implementation with an in-ground system.
- The Commission reminds the licensee that, pursuant to section 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act, this authority will only be effective when the Department of Industry notifies the Commission that its technical requirements have been met and that a broadcasting certificate will be issued.
