Application2013-1743-8
CKYQ-FM-1 Victoriaville – Technical change
1. The Commission approves the application by 176100 Canada Inc. to change the authorized contours of CKYQ-FM-1 Victoriaville, Quebec, a rebroadcasting transmitter for the French-language commercial radio programming undertaking CKYQ-FM Plessisville. The transmitter site will be relocated approximately 800 meters away from the original site and the effective height of antenna above average terrain will increase from 15.8 to 16.7 meters. The other technical parameters will remain unchanged. The Commission did not receive any interventions regarding this application.
2. The licensee indicated that it must relocate the transmitter to a new location because the previous site was demolished in January 2014.
3. The Commission reminds the licensee that pursuant to section 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act, this authority will only be effective when the Department of Industry notifies the Commission that its technical requirements have been met and that a broadcasting certificate will be issued.
