Application 2013-1066-4
CKBI Prince Albert – Technical change
1. The Commission approves the application by Rawlco Radio Ltd. to change the authorized contours of the English-language commercial radio programming undertaking CKBI Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, by relocating the transmitter site, by decreasing the night-time transmitter power from 10,000 to 2,800 watts and by changing the antenna radiation pattern from directional to non-directional. The Commission did not receive any interventions regarding this application.
2. The licensee indicated that it wishes to relocate the transmitter site because it is subject to flooding in its current location.
3. The Commission reminds the licensee that pursuant to section 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act, this authority will only be effective when the Department of Industry notifies the Commission that its technical requirements have been met and that a broadcasting certificate will be issued.
