CBM-FM Montréal – Technical change
- The Commission approves the application by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) to change the authorized contours of the English-language radio programming undertaking CBM-FM Montréal, Quebec, Radio 2, by increasing both the average and maximum effective radiated power from 24,600 watts to 100,000 watts. The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with this application.
- The CBC stated that the technical change would improve the quality of the Radio 2 service in Montréal.
- The Commission reminds the licensee that, pursuant to section 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act, this authority will only be effective when the Department of Industry notifies the Commission that its technical requirements have been met and that a broadcasting certificate will be issued.
