The Green Channel (formerly known as WETV) – Revocation of licence
1. WETV Canada Corporation has requested the revocation of its broadcasting licence for the national, English-language Category 2 specialty programming undertaking known as The Green Channel (formerly known as WETV) in order to continue its operation as an exempt undertaking, pursuant to New exemption order respecting certain programming undertakings that would otherwise be eligible to be operated as Category B services, and amendments to the Exemption order respecting certain third-language television undertakings, Broadcasting Order CRTC 2012-689, 19 December 2012.
2. Given the licensee’s request and pursuant to sections 9(1)(e) and 24(1) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission revokes the broadcasting licence issued to WETV Canada Corporation for the above-mentioned undertaking.
