Re: Tariff Notices 468 and 468A – Correction to effective date
Dear Sir:
On 22 November 2013, the Commission received tariff application from Télébec, Limited Partnership (Télébec) under cover of Tariff Notice 468 (TN 468), in which the company proposed to extend its basic Residential package in the exchanges associated with rate bands C2-e, c2-y, C2-z, D1-y, D1-z, E1-h, E2-a, F2-e, F2-s and F2-q. Télébec requested an effective date of 7 December 2013.
Télébec submitted that these tariff revisions comply with the criteria for a Group B tariff application as set out in Approval processes for tariff applications and intercarrier agreements, Telecom Information Bulletin CRTC 2010-455, 5 July 2010 (Information Bulletin 2010-455).
On 2 December 2013, the Commission received an amended tariff application under cover of Tariff Notice 468A, in which the company requested the same effective date of 7 December 2013.
Commission staff notes, however, that Information Bulletin 2010-455 specifies that Group B filings must be filed with the Commission at least 15 calendar days before the proposed effective date. Accordingly, the effective date of TN 468A should be
17 December 2013 at the earliest.
Commission staff notes that this application will be processed based on an effective date of 17 December 2013. Télébec is not to implement these tariff amendments until TN 468 and 468A have been approved by the Commission.
