Re: Bell Canada’s Part 1 Application to Improve the Accessibility of Mobile Telecommunications at Bell Canada – Determination regarding responses to requests for further information

Dear Mr. Abbott:

We are writing in regard to Bell Canada’s 29 November 2013 responses to the Neil Squire Society’s (NSS) requests for further information dated 18 November 2013.

As a result of Commission staff review of these responses, Commission staff notes that Bell Canada, in its response to Request #1, references Tecla’s expertise and assertion that application programming interfaces (APIs) are not required for the use of Tecla application, and that Tecla is providing additional clarification under separate cover to address specific issues raises by NSS related to the Tecla product.

Accordingly, Bell Canada is requested to file with the Commission no later than 10 December 2013 the additional clarification from Tecla referenced above. In our view, this information will contribute to the development of a fuller record.
Yours sincerely,

Nanao Kachi
Director, Social and Consumer Policy
