RE: Request for forbearance from the regulation of retail directory assistance services- Request for extension for response to interrogatories

The Commission has received a letter dated 7 November 2013 from l’Association des compagnies de Téléphone du Québec (ACTQ) on behalf of the companies it represents; DMTS; the Independent Telecommunications Providers Association (ITPA) on behalf of the companies it represents; KMTS; and NorthernTel, Limited Partnership (Northern Tel) [collectively referred to as a group of small incumbent local exchange carriers (small ILECs)].

This group of small ILECs requested an extension of the deadline for remitting the responses to the interrogatories that were sent by the Commission on 21 October 2013, from 13 November to 29 November 2013. The interrogatories were sent to the group of small ILECs, as well as to Amtelecom Limited Partnership (Ametelecom) and People’s Tel Limited Partnership (People’s Tel), both operating as EastLink, and to TBayTel,

The Commission staff grants the extension request. The group of small ILECs, as well as EastLink (for Amtelecom and People’s Tel) and TBayTel should they decide to take part in the present proceeding, are to file their responses to the interrogatories with the Commission, serving a copy on all other parties, by 29 November 2013.

Written arguments may be filed with the Commission with respect to the responses to the interrogatories, serving copies on all other parties by 6 December 2013.

All applicants may file reply arguments with the Commission, serving copies on all other parties, by 13 December 2013.

Yours sincerely
