RE: Tariff Notice 30 – Directory Listings

Dear Sir:

On 21 October 2013, the Commission received an application by Wightman Telecom Ltd. (Wightman), in which it proposed revisions to Section 140 of its General Tariff to introduce Directory Listings service, as part of the process of migrating this service to its General Tariff from the Ontario Independent Services Tariff, with no changes to the rates, terms, and conditions. The company certified that its application was a Group A retail tariff filing and proposed an effective date of 25 October 2013.

Commission staff considers that the application does not meet any of the definitions of a Group A retail tariff filing as described in Approval processes for tariff applications and intercarrier agreements, Telecom Information Bulletin CRTC 2010-455, 5 July 2010, as amended from time to time (Information Bulletin 2010-455).

Commission staff further notes that, pursuant to Information Bulletin 2010-455, Group B tariff filings must be filed with the Commission at least 15 calendar days before the proposed effective date.

For efficiency, the Commission will process this application as a Group B tariff filing with a proposed effective date of 5 November 2013, rather than close the file and require the company to re-file it as a new application.

Yours sincerely,
