Re: Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership’s Tariff Notice 456 and Bell Canada’s Tariff Notice 7404

Dear Sir:

On 2 October 2013, the Commission requested that Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership and Bell Canada (collectively, the Bell companies) respond to requests for information on the above-noted tariff notices by 15 October 2013.

On 11 October 2013, the Commission received a request by the Bell companies to extend the deadline for filing responses to the requests for information to 21 October 2013. The Bell companies submitted that the staff assigned to these files is the same staff assigned to the implementation of capacity-based (CBB) billing and the processing of CBB orders received from wholesale ISPs on 9 October 2013 as per the Bell companies’ Gateway Access Service tariffs, resulting in resource constraints.

No comments have been received from parties regarding this extension request.

In light of the circumstances, Commission staff considers the request to be reasonable.

The process dates noted in the Commission’s 2 October 2013 letter are revised as follows.

Bell companies’ responses to requests for information 21 October 2013
Comments may be filed by parties 28 October 2013
Reply comments may be filed by the Bell companies 4 November 2013

Yours sincerely,
