Re: Bell Canada and TELUS Part 1 Applications for use of Deferral Account funds to improve access to telecommunications services for persons with disabilities

With this letter, Commission staff is clarifying the current filing deadlines for all participants of the above TELUS and Bell proceedings.
TELUS:
• 29 July 2013 – Close of Record. The deadline for filing of comments regarding TELUS’ Part 1 application.
• 13 Aug 2013 – Reply Comments. The deadline for TELUS to file reply comments.
Bell Canada:
• 26 August 2013 – Close of Record. The deadline for filing of comments regarding Bell’s Part 1 application.
• 10 Sept 2013 – Reply Comments. The deadline for Bell Canada to file reply comments.
The dates for the Bell Canada application take into consideration the large volume of information that was placed on the record for this proceeding as a result of a disclosure process conducted in accordance with CRTC Bulletin 2010-961. In a letter dated 17 June 2013, Commission staff requested Bell to disclose information which it had designated in its initial filing as confidential pursuant to section 39 of the Telecommunications Act and Bulletin 2010-961-1. In a letter dated 27 June 2013, Bell Canada withdrew its claims of confidentiality for that information as given in its letter. The documents are now available on the Commission’s website at: https://applications.crtc.gc.ca/instances-proceedings/Default-Defaut.aspx?S=O&PA=T&PT=A&PST=A&Lang=eng
Parties are reminded that, in accordance with the Rules of Procedure, if a document is to be filed or served by a specific date, the document must be actually received, not merely sent, by that date. A document must be filed with the Commission by 5 p.m. Vancouver time (8 p.m. Ottawa time) on the date it is due. The Commission takes no responsibility for postal delays and will not notify parties if their submissions are received after the deadline. Late
submissions will not be considered by the Commission and will not be made part of the public record.
Yours sincerely,
