Re: Issues related to the feasibility of establishing a video relay service Telecom Notice of Consultation CRTC 2013-155

On 15 April 2013 Commission staff received the responses submitted by Cogeco Cable Inc. (Cogeco) to the request for information dated 27 March 2013. The responses to this request for information were intended to update the responses to a similar request for information sent by Commission staff on 25 May 2012. After reviewing these responses, Commission staff notes that the following sections were incomplete or require clarification, and therefore requests that the responses to the following questions be submitted by 28 June 2013 to complete the original request.

1. Refer to the company’s response to Cogeco(CRTC)27Mar13-4 and Cogeco(CRTC)25May12-4.
a. For the years 2008 to 2012, provide a breakdown of the number of Network Access Service by the following segments: i) wireline, ii) mobile/wireless, iii) VoIP, and iv) wholesale.
b. Further explain if the company plans to charge a specific monthly rate for MRS. If yes, provide the planned rate and the segments it will apply to; if not, explain why not.

2. Refer to Cogeco(CRTC)27Mar13-5. Cogeco submits that a one-time fee of # $ # was filed on July 26, 2012 and therefore should be accounted for in 2012, and not 2011 as originally submitted in Cogeco(CRTC)25May12-5. Please confirm the Total IPRS cost for 2011, as the submitted value in Cogeco(CRTC)27Mar13-5 is not aligned with Cogeco(CRTC)25May12-5, taking into consideration the above-noted recording error.

Please contact Kay Saicheua (kay.saicheua@crtc.gc.ca) at (819) 934-1358 should you have any questions in regard to this letter.

Yours sincerely,
