Re: TELUS Communications Company – Tariff Notice 587
Dear Ms. Duguay:
On 21 March 2013, the Commission received an application by TELUS Communications Company under cover of Tariff Notice 587, in which the company proposed amendments to its tariff entitled Local network interconnection and network component unbundling, applicable in its incumbent serving territories in Quebec. The company proposed to adopt the sliding-scale reduction for traffic termination compensation payments approved by the Commission in Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership and Bell Canada – Proposed revision to the treatment of imbalance traffic compensation, Telecom Decision CRTC 2010-787, 25 October 2010.
Commission staff is continuing its analysis. Therefore, the Commission was unable to dispose of the application before the 45th calendar day following its
receipt. However, the Commission intends to dispose of this application, along with any subsequent revisions, by the end of June 2013.
Yours sincerely,
