Re: Issues related to the feasibility of establishing a video relay service Telecom Notice of Consultation CRTC 2013-155

Your request for a 30-day extension of the 17 May 2013 deadline for submission of interventions has been received. In reviewing your request, Commission staff notes that a similar request for an extension was received previously from the BC Video Relay Service Committee, the Deafness Advocacy Association of Nova Scotia, the Canadian Hearing Society, and the Ontario Video Relay Services Committee. The Commission has published Telecom Notice of Consultation CRTC 2013-155-1on 16 May 2013 in response to these procedural requests, in which it grants a 10-day extension, from 17 May 2013 to 27 May 2013, for the submission of interventions. This new deadline applies to all parties to the proceeding. A copy of this Notice is attached.

Your request was received after requests by the other four organizations had been presented to the Commission for decision. Following your review of Telecom Notice of Consultation CRTC 2013-155-1, should you be of the view that a further extension is nonetheless warranted, you may submit another procedural request with full justification outlining why an additional extension is warranted.

For timely handling and processing of all submissions, including procedural requests, all correspondence should be addressed to John Traversy, Secretary General, and be sent either by mail to CRTC, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0N2, by fax to 819-994-0218, or submitted online via GC Key.

Please contact Jade Roy (jade.roy@crtc.gc.ca) at (819) 953-7927 should you have any questions in regard to this letter or require more information on how to participate in the Commission’s processes.

Yours sincerely,

Nanao Kachi
