Dear Ms. Sankar,

Re: Telecom Notice of Consultation CRTC 2012-557 – Application for Costs by the DiversityCanada Foundation

The Commission is in receipt of a request by the DiversityCanada Foundation (DiversityCanada) dated 23 April 2013 that the Commission reject the answer filed by TELUS Communications Company (TCC) in the above noted matter as it was filed 3 days past the deadline. DiversityCanada also requested that the Commission extend its deadline for filing replies to answers in the above noted matter to 10 May 2013.

The Commission notes the number and complexity of arguments raised in the answers filed in this matter and considers it reasonable that 10 days would not be sufficient to prepare a reply. The Commission therefore grants DiversityCanada Foundation’s request for an extension of time to file its reply to answers to 10 May 2013.

The Commission considers that any prejudice to DiversityCanada caused by TCC filing its answer late is addressed by the extension granted above. Therefore, the Commission denies the request to reject the answer filed by TCC.

A copy of this letter and all related correspondence will be added to the public record of the proceeding.

Yours sincerely,

John Traversy,
Secretary General
