Re: Procedural Request – Broadcasting Notice of Consultation 2013-558

Ms. Auer,

Reference is made to your letter dated 22 October 2013 wherein you request certain information related to Fall 2012 audience data for commercial, non-commercial and community radio and television stations.

Tuning data is obtained via a third party (BBM Canada) under strict confidentiality and publication terms. As such, the Commission is not authorized to release the information you have requested. All such requests must be made directly to BBM Canada.

With respect to station information such as ownership and call sign, our website remains the best public source of this information. By and large, the information you have cited in your letter can be cross referenced with Commission decisions to determine call signs. Please note however that Commission staff is in the process of examining the data provided on our website to render it more user-friendly and accessible.
