Director, Regulatory Affairs
Bell Media Inc.
Subject: Applications 2013-1357-7 and 2013-1397-3 – Requests by Bell Media Inc. for relief from the requirement to submit an audited report with CTV-CHUM tangible benefits for 2013 and 2014 and for deferral to submit its report for 2012-2013 broadcast year until February 2014
Dear Ms. Leu:
This is in response to your requests for relief from the requirement to submit an audited report with CTV-CHUM tangible benefits for 2013 and 2014 and for deferral of the requirement to submit the report for the 2012-2013 broadcast year until 28 February 2014. We note that these two requests will be examined separately in order to address your request for deferral on an administrative basis as opposed to through a Part I application. A determination on the deferral request will be issued shortly, and, in any case prior to 30 November 2013, the deadline by which Bell Media Inc. is required to submit its tangible benefits report each year. Please note that this determination will not take into consideration the comments that will have been submitted to the Commission with respect to this request.
Please note that your request for relief from the requirement to submit an audited report with CTV-CHUM tangible benefits was published on the Commission’s website as a Part I application (application number 2013-1357-7) on 18 October 2013. The deadline to submit comments is 18 November 2013. The Commission will issue its decision on this request at a later date.
