CJIV-FM Dryden – Revocation of licence

1. Way of Life Broadcasting has requested the revocation of its broadcasting licence for the English-language low-power commercial specialty radio programming undertaking CJIV-FM Dryden, Ontario, as of 1 September 2013.

2. The licensee stated that it does not have the listenership to justify operating the station. Consequently, it will cease operations by no later than 31 August 2013, the expiry date for the licence.

3. Given the licensee’s request and pursuant to sections 9(1)(e) and 24(1) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission revokes the broadcasting licence issued to Way of Life Broadcasting for the above-mentioned undertaking, effective 1 September 2013.
