Various licensees
Various locations

Various radio stations – Licence renewals and amendments – Correction

1. The Commission hereby corrects Broadcasting Decision 2013-470. In that decision, Astral Media Radio G.P.’s (Astral’s) radio station CKXR-FM Salmon Arm, as well as its transmitters CKXR-FM-1 Sorrento, CKXR-FM-2 Enderby and CKXR-FM-3 Sicamous, British Columbia, was inadvertently left out.

2. Consequently, the Commission replaces Appendix 3, as it appears in Broadcasting Decision 2013-470, with the new Appendix 3 attached to this decision. Further, the Commission adds the following information in regard to CKXR-FM and its transmitters in Appendix 1 to Broadcasting Decision 2013-470:

Licensee Application number and date received Call sign and locality
Astral Media Radio G.P. 2011-0245-9
1 February 2011
CKXR-FM Salmon Arm and its transmitters CKXR-FM-1 Sorrento, CKXR-FM-2 Enderby and CKXR-FM-3 Sicamous, British Columbia

3. The Commission notes that the licence renewal application for CKXR-FM and its transmitters was indeed filed on 1 February 2011, as announced in Broadcasting Notice of Consultation 2012-372, and was subsequently processed by the Commission at the same time as Astral’s other applications. Consequently, the licence for this station has in effect been renewed from 1 September 2013 to 31 August 2020.

4. The Commission also adds information related to the renewal application for the radio station CKFR Kelowna, British Columbia in Appendix 1 to Broadcasting Decision 2013-470, where it should have been listed. This information reads as follows:

Licensee Application number and date received Call sign and locality
Astral Media Radio G.P. 2011-0227-7
1 February 2011
CKFR Kelowna, British Columbia

5. Finally, the Commission corrects Appendix 1 of the English-language version of Broadcasting Decision 2013-470, in order to correctly identify the province where stations CFMG-FM St. Albert and CFBR-FM Edmonton are located. Consequently, the two radio stations’ details, as found in Appendix 1 of the English version of that decision, is replaced with the following:

Licensee Application number and date received Call sign and locality
Astral Media Radio G.P. 2011-0185-7
1 February 2011
CFBR-FM Edmonton, Alberta
Astral Media Radio G.P. 2011-0190-7
1 February 2011
CFMG-FM St. Albert, Alberta
