Rogers Communications Partnership – Withdrawal of Local Network Access Arrangement

File number: Tariff Notice 31

1. The Commission received an application from Rogers Communications Partnership (RCP), dated 6 March 2013, in which the company proposed to withdraw its Special Facilities Tariff item A 1. – Local Network Access Arrangement, effective 9 May 2013.

2. Specifically, RCP proposed to withdraw the following services, for which there are currently no subscribers:

3. RCP submitted that the wire centre in question would be decommissioned in May 2013.

4. The Commission approved RCP’s application on an interim basis in Telecom Order 2013-142.

5. The Commission received no comments regarding RCP’s application. The public record of this proceeding, which closed on 5 April 2013, is available on the Commission’s website at www.crtc.gc.ca under “Public Proceedings” or by using the file number provided above.

6. The Commission notes that since no customers currently subscribe to the services in question, customer notification of the withdrawal is not required. The Commission considers that RCP’s proposal complies with the requirements set out in Telecom Information Bulletin 2010-455, in which the Commission set out its procedures for dealing with applications to destandardize and/or withdraw tariffed services.

7. In light of the above, the Commission approves on a final basis RCP’s application.
