Addition of a written phase to the public hearing

Deadline for the filing of responses to undertakings: 2 May 2013

At the 23 April 2013 public hearing, the Commission advised that it may add a written phase to the hearing following the conclusion of the oral phase, if necessary.

Further to Broadcasting Notices of Consultation 2013-19, 2013-19-1, 2013-19-2 and 2013-19-3, the Commission announces that parties appearing at the oral phase may be asked to provide responses to Commission questions at the hearing (responses to undertakings). The deadline for the filing of such responses is 2 May 2013.

Following the receipt of responses, the Commission will accept final written submissions filed by parties that appeared at the hearing. Final written submissions must be filed with the Commission by no later than 9 May 2013, 5 p.m. Vancouver time (8 p.m. Ottawa time).

Final written submissions should not exceed 10 pages. Parties are reminded that final written submissions must only address any new information that may be submitted in regard to responses to undertakings filed by parties, and must not introduce new evidence.

All responses to undertakings filed as part of the present hearing will be posted on the Commission’s website under the link “Undertakings’’. All final written submissions will be posted under the link “Final written submissions”.
