RE: Tariff Notice 66 – Proposed revisions to Carrier Access Tariff

Dear Madam:

On 6 December 2012, the Commission received an application by Cochrane Telecom Services (“CTS”) under cover of Tariff Notice 66 (TN-66), in which the company proposed revisions to its Carrier Access Tariff including removing outdated provisions, refreshing the general terms and conditions related to interconnection services to interexchange carriers as well as introducing a charge for Operation and Translation work to implement a new CCS7 signalling link. The company has indicated that its application is a Group B retail tariff filing.

On 19 November 2012, the Commission had received an application by CTS under cover of Tariff Notice 65 (TN-65), in which the company proposed revisions to its Carrier Access Tariff to introduce wireless access service with CCS7.

Commission staff notes that both TN-66 and TN-65 involve the introduction of CCS7 capabilities, and that an intervention has been received on TN-65. Thus, the Commission will not address TN-66 until a determination is reached for TN-65. Consequently TN-66, along with all associated subsequent revisions, will not be approved on an interim basis on the 15th calendar day following receipt. It will be addressed once a conclusion is reached for TN-65.

Yours sincerely,
