Re: TELUS Communications Company Tariff Notice 643 and 4356

Dear Mr. Reirson:

This letter addresses the need for further process in regards to TELUS Communications Company’s (TELUS) co-location power service rate in the applications noted above.

On 12 December 2012, the Commission received revised interrogatory responses from TELUS along with a revised cost study. TELUS indicated that it had erred with respect to the definition and use of fuse-amps and fused-amps. Further, TELUS indicated that it updated its cost study to reflect working fill factors consistent with the previous cost study for these co-location power services filed in 2002. Consequently, TELUS proposed revised rates for its co-location power services based on these revisions.

Accordingly, Commission staff sets out the following revised process dates:

Comments may be filed by parties 11 January 2013
Reply comments may be filed by TELUS 18 January 2013

The Commission notes that the response to TELUS(CRTC)13Sept12-1 (revised on 6 November 2012) dealing with demand and revenues should also be revised to take
into consideration the company’s revised proposed rates. The revised response should be filed by 20 December 2012. The level of disclosure of information should be consistent with the disclosure ruling of the Commission staff letter dated 2 November 2012.

Consistent with the guidelines set out in Broadcasting and Telecom Information Bulletin CRTC 2010-959, copies of comments and interrogatory responses referred to above are to be served on all parties to this proceeding. Copies of the documents should also be sent to pamela.cormier@crtc.gc.ca.

Yours truly,

Yvan Davidson
