Re: Review of regulatory framework for the small incumbent local exchange carriers and related matters, Telecom Notice of Consultation 2011-348, as amended – Request for extension for filing of additional information
The Commission is in receipt of a letter dated 17 October 2012 from the Canadian Independent Telephone Company Joint Taskforce (the JTF) on behalf of 30 small incumbent local exchange carriers.1 The JTF stated that, pursuant to Commission staff’s 12 October 2012 letter regarding requests for further information and public disclosure, it was prepared to provide, on the public record, the quality of service data that is available. However, given that not all of the information was readily accessible, the JTF requested that the deadline for filing further information be extended from 18 October 2012 to 26 October 2012.
Commission staff considers that the JTF’s request is reasonable in the circumstances and hereby extends, for all parties, the date for the filing of additional information to
26 October 2012.
Commission staff is of the view that even with the extension of the filing date, parties will still have sufficient time to review the additional information to be filed prior to submitting their final argument on 1 November 2012. Commission staff considers therefore that there is no need to modify the remaining procedural dates in this proceeding.
