Part 1 Application to Review and Vary Telecom Regulatory Policy 2011-703 and Telecom Regulatory Policy CRTC 2011-704 - Request to extend process deadlines

The Commission is in receipt of a letter, dated 28 August 2012, from Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership and Bell Canada (collectively, the Companies) requesting an extension for submission of the responses to Commission staff requests for information set out in a letter dated 13 July 2012.  The Companies submitted that due to the complexity of the models and to ensure that accurate information is filed, they will not be able to complete their responses by the stipulated due date of 30 August 2012, and seek approval for an extension of the filing date to 27 September 2012.

Commission staff notes that this extension request is the Bell companies’ third request for an extension, is longer than the previous extension request, and that 27 days of extension has already been granted.  In the circumstances, Commission staff does not consider it reasonable to grant the full extension sought.  Accordingly, the remaining process dates, set out in the 13 July 2012 Commission staff letter are revised as follows:
