Dear Madam:
RE: Agreement 1493/00 - Master Agreement for LEC-IXC interconnection between Allstream Inc. and Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership
On 24 July 2012, the Commission received a submission by Allstream Inc., under Agreement Number 1493/00, in which the company informed the Commission that it has entered into a standard form Master Agreement for LEC-IXC interconnection with Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership, effective 4 July 2012.
Commission staff notes that in paragraphs 31 and 32 of Forbearance with respect to certain inter-carrier agreements filed pursuant to section 29 of the Telecommunications Act, Telecom Decision CRTC 2007-129, 14 December 2007, the Commission determined, among other things, that LECs were no longer required to file and obtain Commission approval of LEC-IXC agreements as long as the agreements are identical to a Commission-approved model.
Agreement Number 1493/00 was not required to be filed with the Commission and, as such, this file is closed.
Yours sincerely,
‘Original signed by M. Murray’
