RE: Tariff Notice 1
Dear Sir:
On 13 June 2012, the Commission received an application by Mascon Cable Systems Inc. (Mascon, or the company) under cover of Tariff Notice 1 (TN 1), in which the company proposed to introduce its Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) General Tariff. The company stated that this tariff complies with Local competition, Telecom Decision CRTC 97-8, 1 May 1997. The company indicated that its application was a Group B retail tariff filing.
Mascon is requested to amend its proposed tariff by adding the CRTC tariff number on its proposed tariff pages pursuant to item 7 of CRTC tariff regulations (SOR/79-555), which can be found at the Department of Justice website at http://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-79-555/page-2.html#h-6. The company will need to use one of the tariff numbers from the block of tariff numbers that it recently received from the Commission (i.e. CRTC 25220 – 25229), and then file an amended tariff application with the Commission.
Checklists and additional information related to the filing of tariff applications can be found on the Commission’s website at http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/comm/telecom/contact2.htm#n1. This same section of our website also includes contact information if the company requires assistance with any steps related to a tariff application.
Consequently, this application, along with any associated subsequent revisions, will not be approved on an interim basis on the 15th calendar day following receipt. However, the Commission intends to dispose of this application, along with all associated subsequent revisions, within 45 business days of receipt of a complete application.
Mascon is requested to file its amended tariff application with the Commission no later than 13 July 2012. Failure to do so will result in this file being closed without a Commission determination.
Yours sincerely,
