RE: Bell Canada Tariff Notices 7289 and 7289A – Wholesale Wireless Broadband Service
Dear Sir:
On 29 November 2010, the Commission received an application by Bell Canada under Tariff Notice (TN) 7289. In its application, Bell Canada proposed changes to its General Tariff to introduce item 5430 – Wholesale Wireless Broadband Service (WWBS).
In a letter dated 21 April 2011, Commission staff informed Bell Canada that its application would be considered after the Commission issued its determinations in the Telecom Notice of Consultation (NoC) 2011-77 proceeding1 because the pricing structure proposed for WWBS in TN 7289 was based on a billing component being reviewed in that proceeding.
In Telecom Regulatory Policy CRTC 2011-703 (TRP 2011-703),2 the Commission issued its decision in the NoC 2011-77 proceeding. Subsequently, on 19 December 2011, the Commission received TN 7289A, in which Bell Canada amended its WWBS proposal in light of determinations in TRP 2011-703.
Given the complexity of this file and its interaction with the determinations in TRP 2011-703, Commission staff is continuing its analysis of the amended application. Consequently, this application will not be disposed of by the 45th calendar day following receipt. The Commission intends to dispose of this application, along with all associated subsequent revisions, by the end of April 2012.
Yours sincerely,
