RE:  Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership – Tariff Notice 389 and Bell Canada – Tariff Notice 7336

Dear Sirs:

On 5 December 2011, the Commission received an application by Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership and Bell Canada (collectively, the Companies) under cover of Tariff Notice 389 and Tariff Notice 7336, respectively.  The Companies proposed revisions to its General Tariff, Item 100 – Work Function Structure, to waive or reduce the Residential Service Connection charge for all local residential installations.

The Commission received interventions from TELUS Communications Company (TELUS) and from Comwave Telecom Inc. (Comwave) between 16 December 2011 and 17 January

2012.  In light of the comments received, the Commission is unable to dispose of the applications within 45 business days of its receipt.  The Commission expects to dispose of the applications by the end of March 2012

Yours sincerely,
