RE: Tariff Notice No. 423 - Withdrawal of Talking Call Waiting Service
Dear Sir:
On 16 January 2011, TELUS Communications Company (TCC) filed an application requesting Commission approval for its withdrawal of Talking Call Waiting Service. In its application the company noted that it had informed its affected customers by letter that should they wish to, they had till 15 February 2012 to provide comments to the Commission.
In Telecom Decision 2008-22, Mandatory customer contract renewal notification and requirements for service destandardization/withdrawal, the Commission specified that customers will have 30 business days to provide their comments on such service withdrawals. In this instance, however, TCC has provided only 25 business (30 calendar) days.
TCC is to re-issue that customer letter to correct that interval date.
