RE:  Tariff Notice 422 – Call Management Services and Residential Bundles

Dear Sir:

The Commission has received the above-mentioned tariff notice, dated 16 December 2011, from TELUS Communications Company (TCC).

Given that the company filed its application as a Group A retail tariff filing, and that the application meets the definition of, and criteria for, Group A filings as set out in Approval processes for tariff applications and intercarrier agreements, Telecom Information Bulletin CRTC 2010-455, 5 July 2010 (Information Bulletin 2010-455), the application is forborne from approval.

However, Commission staff notes that an effective date – that beyond which certain features and services have been grandfathered – has been modified in the proposed tariff pages. For example, on page 300-19 of the proposed abridged tariff pages, six features or services are footnoted as follows: “Feature grandfathered and not available for new residence customers effective 2009 05 22.” The existing abridged version of the tariff pages refers to the correct date: 2009 05 25, which is the effective date for TCC’s TN 347, approved in Telecom Order 2009‑192. Incorrect footnote references also appear on pages 300-20, 300-26, and 303-3. Where these dates have been changed in the proposed abridged version, they have not been marked as changes.

TCC is to file a revised version of both the abridged and confidential tariff pages in question, under a new tariff application, correcting the date and indicating where changes have been made.

Sincerely,

‘Original signed by S. Bédard’
