Re: Broadcasting application 2012-1089-8

Dear Ms. Wheeler:

This is in reference to the application by Rogers Broadcasting Limited (Rogers) to amend the licence of G4TechTV (G4). These amendments include: re-designating the Category A service as a Category B service, changes to the narrative nature of service description, and amendments to the condition of licence regarding Canadian programming expenditures. This application was published as a Part 1 application on 6 September 2012.

Please be advised that this process is not considered appropriate for this particular type of application which seeks to change fundamental aspects of the existing licence, and accordingly, the Part I process has been closed. In these circumstances, your application will be treated as an application for a new Category B licence and will be added to a future public hearing.

A copy of this letter and all related correspondence will be added to the public record of the proceeding.

Sincerely,

Tracy Speigel
