Subject: Applications by ZoomerMedia Limited (ZoomerMedia) to amend the conditions of licence pertaining to the payment of Rogers Broadcasting Limited’s (Rogers) remaining tangible benefits assumed by ZoomerMedia with the acquisition of the television stations CHNU-TV Fraser Valley and CIIT-TV Winnipeg (Applications 2012-0673-0 and 2012-0674-8).

Dear Ms. Lafontaine,

Section 28(1)(a) of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission Rules of Practice and Procedure provides that the Commission may request parties to file information, particulars or documents where needed. In order to complete the applications for the amendment of conditions of licence pertaining to the payment of Rogers’ remaining tangible benefits assumed by ZoomerMedia with the acquisition of the television stations CHNU-TV Fraser Valley and CIIT-TV Winnipeg, Commission staff requires the following information:

1. We note that ZoomerMedia has indicated in its applications that, to date, it has spent $303,266 toward Rogers’ remaining tangible benefits and that the balance to be paid by 31 August 2012 comes to $780,220. We note that the Commission received tangible benefits reports by Rogers for the years it operated the stations (2005-2008) and from ZoomerMedia on 30 November 2011 for the broadcast year 2010-2011. The amounts set out in the reports from Rogers and ZoomerMedia are set out in the table below. In order to provide further details on the expenditures paid toward the remaining Rogers benefits, please fill out the table below:
