Dear Madame Samson:

The Commission is in receipt of your letter dated 23 January 2012, seeking details on stations’ use of the Local Programming Improvement Fund (LPIF) in preparation for your intervention submission in response to Broadcasting Notice of Consultation CRTC 2011-788.

Since the receipt of your letter, the Commission has added to the public examination file individual station reports that describe the manner in which the LPIF has been distributed since the fund’s establishment in the 2009-2010 broadcast years.

We remind you that the procedure for filing confidential information and requesting its disclosure in Commission proceedings is set out in Broadcasting and Telecom Information Bulletin CRTC 2010-961.
