AASTHA – Revocation of licence

1. Asian Television Network International Limited has confirmed its eligibility for exemption for its national, ethnic Category 2 specialty programming undertaking known as AASTHA, in accordance with Exemption order respecting certain third-language television undertakings, Broadcasting Public Notice CRTC 2007-33, 30 March 2007.

2. Given the licensee’s request and pursuant to sections 9(1)(e) and 24(1) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission revokes the broadcasting licence issued to Asian Television Network International Limited for the above-mentioned undertaking.

3. Accordingly, the Commission will add this service to the list of exempted third-language Category 2 specialty and pay programming undertakings.
