Various radio programming undertakings

Administrative renewals
1. The Commission renews the broadcasting licences for the radio programming undertakings set out in the appendix to this decision from 1 September 2012 to 31 March 2013, subject to the terms and conditions in effect under the current licences.
2. The renewal applications have been published in Notice of applications received, Broadcasting Notice of Consultation CRTC 2012-372, 10 July 2012. However, the Commission will not be able to make its determinations on these applications before the licences expire.
3. The Commission notes that the undertakings listed in the appendix to this decision are the subject of applications by BCE Inc. (BCE), on behalf of Astral Media Inc. (Astral) and its licensed subsidiaries, for authority to change the effective control of Astral’s broadcasting undertakings to BCE, as announced in Notice of hearing, Broadcasting Notice of Consultation CRTC 2012-370, 10 July 2012. These administrative renewals will allow the Commission to render its decision on those applications before issuing new licences for the above-noted undertakings.
